Exodus 20:3-7

This sculpture reminds us of the solid groundwork built by God in the Old Testament. The rock-solid properties of stone symbolize the binding strength and the ultimate authority of these Commandments from which all other teachings come forth. The four gold bars represent the unity of God’s law that transcends the world’s denominational boundaries that come from the four corners of the earth. It is the promise… the Promise of God’s mercy and steadfast love to thousands of generations of those who love Him and keep His Commandments.

Psalms 49:13-15

This sculpture reminds us that God resurrected Christ from the grave and bestowed Him with the power to overcome Death. The large jagged stone was rolled in front of Christ’s tomb to secure His death. From within the tomb, the cross punch through the stone fulfilling the scriptures and revealing God’s prophesied strength and divine power. The events at the tomb remove all doubt and substantiate the truth of God’s word. This is His promise… the Promise of everlasting life to those who accept and follow Him.

Hebrews 9:19-22

This sculpture reminds us of the pain and suffering Christ endured for each and everyone of us.

The white cross represents the Father’s presence during the crucifixion. The gold cross represents the royalty bestowed upon Christ and the crown of thorns evidences the agony Christ experienced on our behalf. The translucent red side of the cross embodies the everlasting covenant and the sinless blood of Christ, which, when spilled, fulfilled His promise... the Promise of Salvation, the forgiveness of our sins and bestowing each of us with everlasting life.

Luke 23:39-43

This sculpture is reminiscent of the two criminals who were crucified on either side of Christ. The criminal on the right hurled insults at Christ and demanded that he be saved with Him. The other criminal recognized Christ’s innocence and begged Christ to remember him when He returned to the kingdom.

The white center cross, features radiant beams of light, signifying Christ’s strength, grace and glory. The unpolished gold cross on the right represents the thief who rebuked Christ and died a sinful life. The thief who recognized the truth is personified in the smooth gold cross on the left, who at once had his sins polished away by Christ. Placed under the protection of Christ’s right arm, he received the promise…the Promise of Resurrection and everlasting life. Christ said “today you shall be with Me in paradise.”

Ephesians 2:13-16

This sculpture reminds us of our tendency to dwell on our differences and how we fight for our beliefs. Realizing the value of gold, the separated gold bars represent the two opposing sides of any argument and the difference of opinion between them. The bars are hammered to resemble our self-centered struggle of pride. We have the choice to forgive or not to forgive, and must acknowledge that the only forgiveness we can control, is our own. You can plead others for their forgiveness, but there is no promise you will receive it. Be comforted knowing that you will find true unconditional forgiveness from Christ. The two gold bars are connected by the cross which represents the truth of Christ's promise... the Promise of Reconciliation and the hope of restoring harmony, peace and unity through Him. As we come together, we are reconciled.

Colossians 2:13-15

This sculpture reminds us of Christ's redemptive power and helps to free ourselves of any negativity for the mistakes we've made and the harm we may have caused others.

The course finish on the upper part of the cross represents our rugged and often misguided past that we lived prior to acknowledging Christ. The jagged nail reminds us of the brutality of Christ's suffering and sacrifice. The nail pierces the cross where the coarse finish changes into a smooth façade, a sweeping and redemptive transformation symbolizing the power of the cross in our lives. The smooth facade helps us recognize that when Christ was nailed to the cross we received the promise... the Promise of Redemption, and the forgiveness of sin and a renewed life through our commitment to Him.

Micah 7:8

This sculpture encourages us not to worry when others rejoice in our mistakes or when we have fallen. Their ridicule, judgment and criticism are powerless when our lives are dedicated to Christ.

The silver cross characterizes Christ's protection, realized only when we have devoted our life to Him. The sunrise, although not full and still obscured by the cross, reminds us not to be troubled what others think about us. The gold sun rising in the midst of the cross is the promise... the Promise that through Christ, God is your salvation and He will raise you back to the person He created you to be.

Romans 8:34

This sculpture reminds us that we are inseparable from God's love. Life's troubles, hardships and persecutions cannot distance us from God's favor that is embodied in Christ. This design features an opaque spiral that weaves through the timbers of the cross just as our prayers ascend to God, who, as yet unseen, lives through our everlasting faith. The gold cross represents the authority and position of Christ. His presence demonstrates the promise... the Promise of Intercession. Christ, being seated at the right hand of our Father, hears our prayers and intercedes on our behalf.
